On May 20, 2022, "Guoxin 1"，the world's first 100,000-ton intelligent fishery large-scale aquaculture vessel，was delivered in CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., which marks China’s deep-sea large-scale aquaculture vessel industry has achieved great milestone from zero to Stage 1.

"Guoxin 1" is designed for aquaculture of high-quality fish species such as rhubarb, grouper and Atlantic salmon in the mode of "shipboard aquaculture", with an overall length of 249.9 meters, 130,000 tons displacement and 100,000 tons deadweight.

It is reported that 100,000-ton aquaculture vessel can effectively use the suitable deep-sea area for long term aquaculture and avoid natural disasters such as typhoons and red tides, and is also known as Mobile Marine Ranch.
